Avocado Cherry Pudding

 

IMG_6671This creamy avocado cherry pudding is a perfect breakfast, lunch or even dinner for babes 6 months and over. I do however suggest slowly introducing single whole foods at a time before blending a handful of foods into one meal. This will allow you to observe your babies reactions and allow you to pinpoint exactly what may give him/her a reaction, stomach ache or irritation. Why I suggest 6 months plus is because sometime solids can be introduced at 5 months for an extremely hungry baby who needs more food to help keep weight on. Single whole foods should be introduced one at a time on a 4 day cycle.

Example:

Egg yolk, day 1-4 Avocado, day 4-8 Ripe Banana, day 8-12 Liver or single Meat Bone Broth day 12-16 Coconut milk, day 16-20 … and so on. This way come month 6 or 7 (if you start solids at 6months) you can combine the “safe” foods and add in an extra, for example, chia and if your baby has a reaction you will be aware of why, and what to remove and try at a later date.

    Josie thoroughly enjoying this creamy nutritious treat. She has been eating this pudding since she was 7 months old. You can add in other berries or fruits like; blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, peeled peaches or even mango or pear.

Nutrient dense creamy whole food pudding, prefect for babies 6+ months.

Ingredients
  1. 1 ripe organic avocado
  2. 12 organic bing cherries, fresh or flash frozen
  3. 1/2 ripe organic banana
  4. 4 soaked dates
  5. 1 tsp. sprouted chia
  6. 1/4 cup coconut milk (I use organic Thai full fat coconut milk)
Instructions
  1. Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse till a thick, creamy texture is formed.
  2. Store excess in a glass baby container in the fridge.
Notes
  1. This whole food pudding will last about 4-5 days in the fridge.
  2. You can even add some of this pudding to a popsicle mold and give it to your babe for those difficult teething days.
