Warming Apple Pie Smoothie

Have you had your apple-a-day yet? Switch it up by adding your apples into this delicious apple pie smoothie. You can make stewed apples or add some of your homemade apple sauce. While it is high fibre thanks to our apples and flax, this smoothie also contains heart healthy fats thanks to our nut milk and these little seeds of glory- flax seeds. Another great benefit for your body is the super food that is dense in mineral, vitamins and antioxidant – raw honey  <— Take a peek on how great it is for you!

Warming Apple Pie Smoothie

Delicious, smooth drinkable apple pie.

Ingredients
  1. 1 heaping cup of stewed or homemade applesauce (you can use unsweetened organic store bought if you need to)
  2. 2 cups nut milk of your choice
  3. 1 tbsp. ground golden flax or chia
  4. 1 tbsp. raw honey
  5. 1 tsp. natural vanilla extract or vanilla bean
  6. 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  7. 1/2 tsp lemon juice and grated rind
  8. pinch sea salt
Instructions
  1. In your blender add in all the ingredients and blend on med/high for 20 seconds or until smooth.
  2. Enjoy!
Notes
  1. This makes two servings that you can share or refrigerate till the next day.
